Born and raised under the vast skies of Texas, my journey through the realms of science and engineering began with a curiosity about the world around me. This curiosity led me to pursue and achieve degrees in Physics and Mathematics from a branch of the University of Texas, laying the groundwork for a career that would span several cutting-edge fields.
My professional path has been diverse and challenging. I started as a laser engineer, I studied the complexities of light and its applications. My career evolved to encompass roles in optical and mechanical engineering, where I contributed to advancements in photovoltaics, manufacturing processes, and even semiconductor fabrication. That work merged with the biomedical industry where I work designing TD-fNIRS (time-domain functional near-infrared spectroscopy) headsets and optical modules. It's that final skill-set that allowed me to start designing headgear for the NV community.
Each step of my career has been a building block, contributing to a reservoir of skills and knowledge. It's this convergence of experiences that I've brought to "Dusk to Dawn Gear," where I utilize my diverse background into designing helmets. Our products are the culmination of years of engineering expertise, designed to enhance the outdoor adventures of our users.
My passion for the great outdoors is a vital part of who I am. Alongside my wife and our energetic border collie, we indulge in hiking, backpacking, canoeing, and canoe camping, among other activities. These experiences in nature are a source of inspiration and rejuvenation.
At "Dusk to Dawn Gear," we're crafting products designed to accompany you on your outdoor activities.
